A 34-kilogram pearl, which is asserted by authorities to be the world’s biggest pearl, has been found in Palawan, Philippines. It was initially found by a Filipino fisherman, who was ignorant of the jewel’s quality and kept it as “a good luck charm”. As of now, the world’s greatest pearl is the Pearl of Lao Tzu, which weighs around 6.4 kg.
